Cows and calves were good to handle throughout the yards. Four cows became slightly stirry when in the crush and exited quickly. All settled and remained quiet when back together and while being photographed.

A fair to very good quality line of young cows with calves at foot. Cows are doing a good job on the calves, they are looking healthy and will continue to go ahead with access to feed. Three cows rising 5 years, three rising 4 years and seven rising 2 years. Six cows had no visible age brands but were mouthed at assessment, all six are strong 8 tooths, see photo. Calves are approx 1 - 5 months old, there are ten heifer calves & nine steer calves. Cows were purchased privately in June 2021 from Brook's Properties 'Gilling' at Goondiwindi. Prior to this they were bred at Brook's Properties in the Queensland channel country. A majority of these cows are moderately framed, raising good quality calves sired by registered Mooroobie Angus bulls (Q71 & R25). Cows & calves were good to handle in the crush and all settled well in the yards and remained quiet when being photogrpaphed.
