Generally, steers moved well through the yards during the assessment process. 8 steers became agitated in the crush but calmed once through the draft. Some steers are flighty when applying force to move them around the yards but were unphased when walking through the mob. Steers were weaned 2 weeks prior to assessment and will benefit from additional handling and education.

Assessor Comments
An outstanding line of vendor bred Angus Steers. Steers offered are the top draft of the vendors Spring calves with their lighter brothers retained. The 'Weowna' herd is KO and Aristocrat Blood with a focus on high IMF in bull selection. These steers will be 3 weeks weaned by delivery and are up to date with all their animal health treatments. They're showing exceptional growth and weight for 8 & 9 month old calves and continue to power ahead in the good Autumn season. The 'Weowna' cattle are renowned performers, and these steers are true to form presenting in ideal, type frame, and condition. Steers would suit backgrounding for the feedlot or could be grown out on grass to kill weights.
