Temperament not assessed in Paddock
The heifers are well handled and worked well through the yards with a stranger. The odd heifer was a little twitchy on the scales and took a moment to settle, one heifer left the crush and kept pushing through the mob to get away, mostly from being uncomfortable in the confines of the race rather than being difficult.

Assessor Comments
These mostly medium framed heifers present in store condition, and with room and feed should grow on to become good breeders with a lot of selection in their background. All the bulls responsible for these heifers are selected for calving ease, carcase traits, and good 400 and 600 day weights.See attached EBV sheets for the bulls responsible for most of these heifers. At assessment 26 heifers were seen to have single or several single warts of no consequence, 3 had wart clusters (see photo), and 7 heifers had some degree of blue eye, (see photos for typical examples ) These heifers were yarded to draft until late in the evening prior to assessment, and let out, only to be re-yarded for assessment at 7am. The vendor has sold many doubles of cows and calves recently over several weeks, and successful buyers have competed on further lots after getting their cows home.
