Age Breakup: Ewes are born over two drops in 2022 some in March-April and the balance in Sep-Oct. Majority of these ewes would be the later drop as identified in their teeth, hence not quite mature enough or heavy enough to take the rams at joining.

Assessor Comments
Offering 450 young surplus Merino Ewes. The ewes averaged 37.4kg live at assessment and are on a rising plane since shearing two weeks prior. The ewes are all vendor bred by quality North Ashrose and Terrick Merino rams. They were scanned empty from an October-November joining, but most of these ewes were quite young still with lambs teeth and due to a tighter season not carrying as much body weight as normal. These ewes are well mulesed and have had all vaccinations up to date including Campy and 5 in 1 boosters. Springleigh is experiencing a drier summer period with patchy storm rain so are offloading surplus young ewes to make room for breeding stock. Please note at assessment five ewes were noted with light ewe horn, 3 with sway back and two with weeping eyes.
