Assessor Comments
These 430 future breeding ewe hoggets are in a forward store condition, showing good solid structure and plenty of growth potential. The vendor has been on the Hannaton bloodline for a number of years and carefully selects rams to positively influence their breeding objective. The vendors breeding program aims to breed a structurally sound, medium-framed ewe that cuts a power of quality wool whilst also producing good carcass wether lambs. The mature flock cuts around 6kg once a year, 7kg in a good year and tests around 20 micron. The flock has a proven track record of scanning foetuses over 150% and despite the recent tough autumn, still marked over 100%. With high-quality wool, great fertility records and the ability to produce wether lambs that grow out to export weights, these future breeding ewe hoggets offer a valuable opportunity to introduce some youth and vitality into your dual-purpose breeding program.
