Assessor Comments
A good line of 114 x 114 cows and calves is on offer. Cows are mainly Charbray cross types which would fit on 7 decks. These cows have a good frame and structure and would suit all types of operations. Cows have continuously been running with bulls so some cows could be back in calf. They would be ideal to fatten and split with the calves being nice and sappy. With an average weight 122kgs, these calves will not disappoint with great growth potential. Noted at assessment there where 4 hip offs, also 2 cows had a lump under their tails. There where 5 cows treated for horns close to head with some small rub marks evident. One heifer calf had a small hernia and some cows had lumps on neck due to prior injections. They have been great breeders for the vendor with very good temperament and will produce a quality calf. The "Yanna" cattle always achieve great sale results when selling in the open market due to the quality of cattle produced. Vendor has another 4 lots in same sale.
