The majority of these females handled well through the weighing process. Some heifers became agitated in the drafting process and when pressure was applied in small yards. A few heifers looked to exit the crush swiftly and settled once back in the mob.

Assessor Comments
Ewenmar Herefords “Woonoona” Tooma offer as part of their 300x300 Cow & Calf herd dispersal (property sold), 43x44 2019 drop EU Accredited Hereford Heifers & Calves. These females are in the prime of their breeding life and will complement or lift any commercial Hereford herd. The herd has been culled hard over the years for temperament, fertility & structure with a high emphasis also placed on selecting bulls with 100% eye pigmentation on both eyes, moderate birth weight, high milk and high 600 day growth figures. I would describe these heifers as predominately large frame showing tremendous length, thickness and phenotype. These heifers have good vessels of milk and are doing an excellent job on their calves at foot. Please note 2 heifers with old pink eye scarring in one eye only, refer to media. Please also note vendor has 8 other lots in the same sale.
