Assessor Comments
A good line of 73 x 72 cows and calves is on offer. Cows are mainly Brangus and Angus cross types. These cows have a good frame and structure and would suit all types of operations. Cows have continuously been running with bulls so some cows could be back in calf. They would be ideal to fatten and split with the calves being nice and sappy. With an average weight 169kgs, Approximately half the calves are above 180kg. Noted at assessment there was 1 capped hip & 1 cow with long toe,2 cows treated for horns close to head with some small rub marks evident. 2 calves with warts on eyes & 2 with ringworms, 1 steer calf had a small hernia. 3 cows had lumps on neck due to prior injections, one with bottle teats & 4 with slight blue eyes. Buyers note some of the larger calves up to 340kg looked to be self weaned with with a portion of the cows looking to be back in calf. The "Yanna" cattle always achieve great sale results when selling in the open market due to the quality of cattle produced.
