These heifers were reasonably good to work with and all of the of the work leading to the crush for assessment was completed by the vendors teenagers and family through a round yard. During individual assessment (crush-side) a large majority of the heifers were happy to stand without pressure, however when mouthing a higher percentage were noted to be uncomfortable with the close interaction. Heifers were fine in bigger yards in a mob and easy to count through gateway etc.

Assessor Comments
5 decks of spayed No.9 (98hd) & No.0 (54hd) Brahman and Charbray heifers on the up due to rain in early (32mm) and late (50mm) November and ready to surge ahead on good feed. The feed is green yet light which is providing these heifers a rising plane of nutrition although there is still plenty of compensatory gain to be had if going on to a volume of quality feed. Upon assessment the digestive tract of these heifers seems to be good with healthy stools noted. Due to unfortunate seasonal conditions at the vendors growing block, these heifers were held on the northern breeder block (which also experienced undesirable seasons) for longer than usual to ensure survival and were transported down on to the higher quality feed at "Doncaster" on July 10th (5 months ago). As noted in Dentition section, there are 37 x 3-4 Tooth's in this lot consisting of 30 x 3-4 Tooth's and 7 x breaking their 3rd Tooth. 115 head were 0-2 Tooth. All heifers treated with Ivermectin based product at assessment.
