Assessor Comments 5 DECKS OF VERY GOOD QUALITY GENUINE FUTURE BREEDERS. A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE A LINE OF 186 RED BRAHMAN & BRAHMAN/DROUGHTMASTER CROSS HEIFERS. THEY ARE PREDOMINANTLY MEDIUM & LARGE FRAME HEIFERS PRESENTING WITH GOOD BONE & EVEN MUSCLING. THESE HEIFERS WOULD SUIT AS REPLACEMENTS IN A BREEDING OPERATION & ALSO HAVE SOME COMPENSATORY GAIN TO MAKE GOOD TRADE PROSPECTS. THEY COME FROM A RED BRAHMAN & BRAHMAN/DROUGHTMASTER CROSS COW HERD WITH OVER 30 YEARS OF SELECTIVE BREEDING. THEY SHOW GOOD GROWTH FOR AGE & WOULD USUALLY BE KEPT FOR IN HERD USE. HEIFERS HAVE AVG 0.8KG DAILY WEIGHT GAIN SINCE LAST BEING WEIGHED 35 DAYS AGO & ARE GOING AHEAD ON A RISING PLAIN OF NUTRITION. THEY WEIGH FROM 148KG TO 340KG & AVG 228KG AT THE TIME OF ASSESSMENT AFTER 4HRS OFF FEED. IT WAS NOTED THAT 2 OF THE HEIFERS HAD SLIGHT DIPPED BACKS.
