Assessor Comments
A terrific run of vendor bred boer cross does station mated to boer, boer cross and domestic rangeland bucks. This consignment is the perfect opportunity to start or add to an existing operation with top quality genetics not often available. It is expected these does would have cycled on a nutritional flush from feed that germinated after summer rains and would presume most to be pregnant given their age, weight and the fertility of goats in general. Does are estimated at 0-3 months gestation (based on recent kill data) with a very small percentage of does close to kidding removed. Goats have been farmed behind wire for over 20 years at “Bushley” with boer goats introduced at a similar time. Kill goats sold off Bushley are highly regarded by processors. The boer influence in the breeding does has produced offspring with thick set structure and higher yielding potential. These goats were weighed after a big curfew. Vendor is offering another lot in today’s sale.
