Assessor Comments
A very good quality line of March / April drop, Kalanri blood, Aussie White ewe lambs, sired by the Kalnari Aussie White rams. These large framed ewe lambs are from a flock that has selected heavily for shedding, fertility, and production. The dams of these lambs often weigh in excess of 70kg, with lambing percentages in excess of 150%. Many of these lambs have begun shedding, and it is expected that most will shed fairly cleanly as the weather warms up. Ewes were all individually weighed at assessment, they are in a strong 3 score condition, averaging 47.7kg (46-59kg) at assessment with an 18 hour lock up. They are structurally very sound, with good feet. They would be ideal to join in late Spring / early Summer for an Autumn lamb, or alternatively these lambs could be fed into heavier weights.
