Assessor Comments
A very nice even line of 1st Cross wether lambs showing freshness, bone & length of body. The lambs have been well weaned onto fresh spring pasture and are now non reliant on their mothers and moving in a continuing upward direction. They are out of large framed, vendor bred, Lines blood ewes and are clean of any seed or burr. They present in a tight & even weight range with the lighter portion having been removed. The lambs are in fresh store condition and a good percentage have the ability on good feed to be finished and sold prior to their first shearing if wanted.
All health treatments have been given & I would expect that the lambs will remain on an upward trajectory if presented with similar grazing conditions.
The entire run has been pocket crutched post assessment.
Ideal lambs for either a late spring finish & sale or to grow on through upcoming stubbles.
The same vendor has a run of 240 merino wether lambs in this same sale.
