Assessor Comments
Offering in account of MN & AJ Maher, "Marsdale", 380 Merino Wether Lambs. Lambs are later September/October 2020 drop. They are good medium frame for age/type and present in strong store to forward condition. This line is the top draft of approx 580 lambs. Lambs are March shorn, based on Banavie bloodlines and had a weaner Guard at marking in November. The Maher flock is a finer/medium type wool which has a flock average around 18/19 microns. These lambs come from a Non-Mulesed flock. Appreciate the age of these lambs . This line of lambs have time and breeding on their side and shown the right feed and conditions will continue to perform. Ideal lambs to turn out and feed for very promising winter lamb markets or keep as future wool producers. Lamb are currently running on a bean stubble and native pasture paddock. With the beans starting to run out the vendor is trail feeding beans and barley 3 times a week.
