Assessor Comments
A top quality, very even line of well presented first cross ewe lambs. Ewes are demonstrating excellent weight for age, and good early maturity, and with access to quality feed, will continue to develop even further over the coming months into very heavy, large framed future breeders of quality 2nd cross lambs. Ewes are boasting very good body length and carcass shape and provide for an ideal lower cost alternative to your more traditional FX Border Leicester breeder, whilst still maintaining the same ability to produce quality 2nd cross prime lambs. Ewes were bred on the vendors property and grown out till weaning and shearing, before being shorn then moved to a neighbouring property on agistment in late November. #Please note, these ewe lambs have had access to White Suffolk rams for 3 days, on two seperate occasions, as noted above. 1 ewe in the mob has a small black patch around one eye outside the wool line, and 3 ewes had shorter re-growth wool patches from earlier fly-strike.
