A very good quality line of 1.5 year old, maiden Macquarie Dohne x GullenGamble Merino ewes, scanned in lamb to the Belmore Prime Samm rams, to commence lambing in the early Autumn. These ewes are well grown for their age, with a little more growing to do, they should develop into plain bodied ewes with plenty of length and volume given the right opportunity. They are carrying a 5 month skin of typically bright, white, medium type wool, with a stylish bold crimp, which has generally held up well to a very wet spring and summer, however approximately 1-2% have a small amount of old flystrike scaring [most marked with a blue dot], please refer to photos for examples. Any ewes with large amounts of old flystrike have been removed. Approximately 7% of ewes have horns or scurs.
