Of the worn mouths there was 11 starting to spread, 12 slightly worn and 7 very worn.
Assessor Comments
On offer to purchase is a good quality line of not station mated Dohne ewes. Ewes present in store to fat condition. They are large frame and long bodied ewes that are very robust and overall stand up well. Ewes are plain bodied, easy care, clean about the face. Although these ewes are five to eight years of age they would be still ideal to get one more lamb out of them as their dentition is still relatively good for the age (see dentition). At assessment it was noticed that several ewes had long toes this could be due to their age or from running on heavy black soil country. Also one ewe showing some signs of what looks to be some sort of dermatitis on its back (no problem with its condition). There are some good quality ewes presented in this sale lot & they create an ideal opportunity for a re-stocker looking for quality stock to get one more lamb from then to finish off for a short term gain.
