521 Ewes with 560 Dorper/White Dorper Lambs at foot. Ewes are 4-6 years of age being predominantly 1st cross White Dorper Merino ewes. June shorn, mouthed 50 ewes with 6 having wing teeth missing all the rest have sound mouths. Fresh, marked Dorper/White Dorper lambs weighed on day of assessment averaged 21 kg. Mothers doing a good job, weighed 63 Hd and the averaged weight was 52 kg. Turn out and grow. Ewes have been rejoined with White Dorper rams since the 9th of September and will remain joined until delivery.
