Heifers and calves were a pleasure to assess. Odd heifer exited crush quickly but settled back into mob readily. Bigger calves are uneducated but would settle with some handling.

Assessor Comments
A neat run of 1st calf Angus heifers with big, sappy calves at foot. Calves average 171kgs with approx 5 earlier drop calves in mob. Main run are January drop and an even split between steers and heifers. Calves were marked and given a 5 in 1 at assessment. Heifers were originally purchased out of the Gundagai area and have done well since arriving to the Monaro. CAF are by the Kunuma Angus bulls and the heifer themselves are landfall Angus blood.
