• FEATURE LOT: We have picked out a special cow and calf. This cow is a full sister to GLE L22E sold to Wilde’s Pastoral at our Dawn of the Decade Female Sale in March this year for $12,000 as a joined cow with her weaned 10-month-old heifer GLE R24E topping that sale at $26,500 selling to Daniel and Ashley Humphries, ASHDAN Charolais. K60’s dam has been in our donor herd, her sister L22 was in our donor herd and will be the lead donor in the Wilde’s herd. Her Grand dam was also a donor. K60 has produced some outstanding progeny including her first bull calf being a stud sire for Taylor Charolais, a daughter topping our 2019 Female Sale in the joined heifer section, and two outstanding sons PP POLLED that have been high sellers. We retained semen and an interest in her 2020 bull to use in the herd. Her heifer calf is sired by the powerful breeding bull Glenlea North, co-owned with Shandon Charolais, who is producing progeny with extra carcass and growth in an early maturing body type. We have a number of outstanding progeny by “North” coming through and they will feature in our Bull and Female Sales in 2022 and beyond. K60 was to join the donor herd and was to be flushed this spring, we did not do this, and we selected her to feature in this sale, so is open ready to flush or join immediately. CALF COMMENTS: GLE S17E born 11/04/21 is a beautifully balance heifer that I am sure will out breed her mother. She is a prospect show heifer that could be shown at Sydney Royal in 2022. She could go back to Pinedock Fitting in familiar environment to be prepared for the show.
