We lead the sale with this thick set, slick coated, eye appealing, polled bull. Combining high growth with extra muscle expression, Wales does this without sacrificing too much on the female fertility side - still ranking in the top 20% of the breed for Days to Calving. The ranking percentiles that are reported for each EBV for the first time give you an idea of where exactly the bulls lie within the breed for all traits. The smaller the number, the closer they are to the top of the breed. The balanced performance of Wales has him sitting within the top percentiles for each $Index. This is a feat that only a small percentage of cattle achieve. Conscious that our selection for high fertility has generally come at the expense of muscle, our selection over recent years has been toward higher yielding cattle that don’t fall short in the area of female fertility. Wales is a good example of this type.
