Since the establishment of the stud in 1926, becoming a member of the Angus Society of Australia on 1st March 1928, generations of the Munro family have been committed to the continual improvement and adaptation of the Angus breed in Australia. Booroomooka Angus breed cattle with the core values of Integrity, Commitment, Reliability and Innovation. All Booroomooka Angus bulls are Herd Book Registered, backed by over one hundred years of pedigree records with the latest performance recording and genomic enhancements.

The strength of the Booroomooka breeding program begins with the cow herd. Fertile, resilient females capable of performing through seasonal fluctuations and on lower quality pastures provide the foundation for cattle that consistently improve herd fertility and resilience. The Booroomooka cow herd is unique, developed on hilly native grass country for over 100 years on the Munro family owned Keera property, located in northern NSW. Sinclair Munro states : “Our philosophy is that - the Cows work for us, they need to be fertile and resilient – able to cope with lower quality grasses and seasonal fluctuations.
