About Hazeldean
Hazeldean Pty Ltd is a pastoral enterprise owned and operated by the Litchfield family of Cooma since 1865. The company specializes in the production of superior seedstock for the beef and wool industries and is one of the oldest and largest merino and angus cattle studs in Australia. It encompasses Hazeldean Merinos and Hazeldean Angus. Hazeldean is a world leader in the use of measured performance and prides itself on the quality and longevity of the animals that are bred.

Hazeldean Objectives
Pioneers of objective measurement, breedplan was launced at Hazeldean. Hazeldean Angus is now one of the largest Angus Stud herds in australia, at 3200 registered females. This Stud product is backed up by a 1200 female commercial herd.
High fleece value, hearty and tough Merino's produced from a harsh enviroment. A large commercail flock of 8500 ewes backs up the breeding decsions. Hazeldean knows what works and this is reflected in the stud flock. Large commercial clients TA Field Estates and Romani Pastoral are Hazeldean merino clients with genuine profit derived from these genetics for decades.
