Temperament not assessed in Paddock
These heifers were put through a bugil system and into the crush for weighing at assessment with the majority of the cattle handling very well. Most stood patiently in the crush while being assessed and didn't seem in a great hurry to leave, overall handled well after what had been 3 to 4 big days in the lead up to these heifers being assessed.

Assessor Comments
102 Brahman/Brahman Cross heifers PTIC to Angus Bulls 6 weeks to 4 months at assessment. These heifers originally came from the Charters Towers region early in the year and have since been on good feed and joined to LBW Angus bulls. The heifers handle quite well in the yards and were no dramas at assessment. They show all the characteristics of growing into great breeder cattle with many growing well since purchase after a tough dry start to life. They would make a great mob of replacement breeder cattle or equally would be an ideal option to grow out, calve down and sell as a cow and calf unit or take their progeny through to heavier flat back markets, they will make good hardy females that know how to survive with a flat back calf at foot.
