Temperament not assessed in Paddock
These cows worked very well through a different set of yards for the first time. A small percentage of cows did resent being weighed and mouthed in the head bale but settled down on their release. 10 cows were assessed as stirry or slightly stirry in the yards, a couple were quicker and have a larger flight zone however some cows assessed as slightly stirry were possibly being protective of their calves.

Assessor Comments
6 decks of mostly good to very good quality, predominantly younger cows and calves for sale. 51% of these cows are thought to be first or second calvers, with 3 cows aged from 10-12 years and the balance young to middle aged cows. These cows were pregnancy tested mid July 3 months and over in calf so the remaining 11 cows will calve no later than mid January. The older male calves had a ring on them when mustered in July and now present as steers. These cows have been continually running with good quality Moola Stud Brangus bulls and some will be a three in one package. The smaller lighter cows were purchased as PTIC heifers from the trap rock country at Karara and is expected that they would grow out to medium/large cows given the opportunity on good feed. Please Note. One calf has a stumpy tail, 3 calves were treated for pink eye at assessment, 1 cow has a capped hip, one cow has a large vaccine lump in front of wither, one cow has vision loss in one eye & one cow has one bottle teat
