Heifers moved freely throughout the yards. Some did become agitated in the race while waiting to be weighed and in the crush. They did settle once they were returned to the mob in the bigger yard. They did also behave themselves whilst being photographed and videoed.

Assessor Comments
A small line of Brahman cross heifers on their 1st calf. Calves are only very young and they do seem to be doing a pretty good job on rearing them. The recent flood event in this area has resulted in low pasture quality however the heifers are in good strong store condition. They have also been running back with a Speckle Park bull since calving. Age of these heifers is an estimate only however mouthing would indicate only 2 to 2.5 years of age. Only weighed 11 of the calves as two escaped the yards but the vendor is confident they will be returned to the mob by delivery. Calves haven't been branded or cut but all NLIS tagged at assessment. These are ideal to place on good feed in an effort to punch as much milk into the calves as possible with the intention to grow them out and provide a split job to trade at the end of the winter. Buyers be aware there are a further 15 weaner heifers being offered in the Weaner and Yearling sale that can be used to fill up a load if required.
