Cattle were good to handle and assess. They have been through the yards on the vendors property many times, especially when purchased, to educate. The odd few when isolated get nervy and quicken up. Most handled the crush area well but some shifted around on scales and approx 6 would not settle when mouthed. Generally good to work with, nothing aggressive.

Presenting a smart lot of Santa Angus heifers PTIC to Angus bulls. The heifers are well grown for their age with the help of two good seasons since purchase. Three heifers show Brangus traits and the balance are Santa Angus. All mouthed were milk teeth. One heifer has warts on dulap (see pics). Two Clunie Range bulls were depastured on 11/9/21 and the Narranmore bull put in 23/10/21. The heifers ranged in weight from 426kg to 582kg to average 484 after 2 hrs. One heifer was deemed to be 14-15 weeks in calf at assessment but will be 16 weeks (red tag) by auction day and the balance 4 to 5.5 months. They are genuine young females which should grow into nice matrons. The temperament of the bulls is very good.

Purchased heifers to specifically join to selected calving ease bulls. They have had an excellent season to grow out. Cattle are good to handle however some still get nervous if isolated.
