Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
Calves freshly weaned - the cows present in store to lighter store condition that have been dipped in Cloncurry then trucked 360km to Winton for assessment & spelling until delivery. On good quality hay and present robust, strong and sound - they should definitely fill up and bounce ahead. If travelling long distance we would recommend spelling after 900km & advise to curfew off water prior. The cows will be on electrolyte blocks from assessment until delivery as a transport pre condition only.

The cows are generally good to handle, draft yarding up & filing through the race with minimal push & quietly entering the scales. The odd cow did look to rush in and out - a little agitated when isolated particularly when confined for mouthing yet settle well when released and back in the mob. * the cows are not race drafted * Overall the temperament of the Bendigo Park herd are very good.

34 Quality Santa & Santa x cows rising 2-14 years. 22 PTIC & the bal NDP yet continually running with Santa Bulls. Good long bodied cows med to med/larger frame with the smaller cows being young (early calvers / weaner mums) The majority have had large calves weaned 4 days prior to assessment. Ideal cows to put on fresh feed to calve out, retain the younger cows & fatten. Bendigo Park is very dry with the cows performing well under tough conditions - a fertile herd & rearing a very good quality calf (as seen in the assessed weaners also being sold) Some cows may still be bagged up at delivery. 2 cows with hips off ($200 less each cow) , 3 with fly rub, 4 with larger white patches & white underlines. The cows present in strong store to light store condition and will benefit from a full animal health protocol on arrival. * Note the 2 lots of weaners also offered the same day*
