The heifers were easy to work in the yards and very co-operative. They mustered into the yards like veterans. Approx 5 heifers resented the head bale on mouthing but only 2 wanted to shift around on scales when weighed. They drafted off the calves easily without bustling through the calves.

Presenting a nice line of well educated Droughtmaster heifers with fresh Angus cross calves at foot. These heifers have been running back with Clunie Range Angus bulls for 10 weeks. The heifers are putting everything into the quickly maturing calves resulting in less weight than their size and frame would indicate. The calves are very even apart from 2 earlier dropped calves. There are 3 calves showing tan or brindle in the coat, common for the cross. The calves are marked and there are 18 steers and 17 heifers which weigh 164 average at assessment. The heifers are very protective mothers but handle sensibly in the yards with no aggression. Ages are genuine as mouthing supports brands and 1 with no visible brand was found to be a 6 tooth. Lovely quiet units for your front paddock.

Purchased as PTIC ex New England. Heifers were bred in Northern Territory and joined to Ascot Angus bulls. Vendor purchased them in November '21 and they started calving in December. Put Angus bulls in on 15/2/22.

Calved unassisted and have been excellent cattle to handle. Previous vendor did a great job educating these heifers. They have proven to be excellent mothers. There are 2 earlier drop calves that are 6 months old.
