The cows were good to handle but there was approx 5 head that wanted to beat you back or through a gate. Nothing aggressive however not completely quiet. The calves are very lively and are not quiet. In fairness these cattle have not had a lot of handle in the last couple of years as they were running on an agistment property.

Presenting a good run of Angus cows with sappy well grown calves at foot by Angus and Speckle bulls. The cows have not been purposely joined but a good quality Angus bull has been running with them recently. The cows are in store to forward store condition and the calves are fresh. One cow is noticeably plainer in condition (see pics) but they do have quite large calves on them. Two cows show some Santa heritage and there is one cow with some Hereford cross.(all in pics) Approx 5 cows have some scarring in one eye not affecting performance and one cow has a small lump near side on jaw, looks like an old abcess busted. In all, good healthy cows with plenty to offer yet. The calves are a feature of these units. Note temperament comments. 21 steers and 20 heifers. A few of the calves have been treated for pink eye in normal management program. Cows weighed 657 kg and the calves 226kg after 3 hrs in yards.

Purchased cows 3 years ago as 3 and 4 yo locally. Originally ex New England cows. Running with Angus and Speckle Park bulls. Have only had opportunity to an Angus bull for 4 weeks approx 5 weeks ago.

Grazing Conditions
Drying summer grasses, a good body of feed but take note: recent showers may have washed some nutrients out of the grasses. Cattle are not showing any signs of this and are very healthy.

Very pleased with these cows production since purchasing them. They have been good mothers and vealers sold extremely well last time. Just making room for an expanding sheep operation.
