The heifers were easy to handle and process through system. One heifer didn't like being at close quarters but more wanted to avoid than engage. A few of the heifers resented the mouthing procedure but generally the mob was easy to handle.

On offer are a nice line of preg tested in calf Angus heifers due to drop an autumn calf. Approximately half of the mob are the vendors own bred heifers being Hazeldean and Kidman bloodlines and the balance are heifers bought as weaners at 8 to 9 months of age from a Warren breeder carrying Booramooka and Te Mania genetics. The heifers were depastured with Hazeldean and Kidman LBW Angus bulls for an 8 week period. There are 6 Angus Hereford cross heifers in the mob which are optional at the sale price. Approx 5 heifers had a slight blemish in one eye, hardly noticeable, not affecting performance. The heifers are very good quality and in forward condition. They weighed 465 kg's at assessment after an overnight lockup with a low weight of 398 kg and a top of 564 kg. I think these heifers carry enough quality to add to, or start, an Angus breeding operation. The bulls used are genuine calving ease bulls. The vendors have two other lots of heifers and calves this sale.
