HEIFERS WERE HANDLED IN A BUGIL SET UP TO THE CRUSH AND FLOWED THROUGH NICELY WITH MOST STANDING PATIENTLY IN THE CRUSH WHILE BEING WEIGHED. HEIFERS WERE A BIT RUSHED AND FLIGHTY IN THE BIG YARD DUE TO A BIG 2 DAYS OF HANDLING PRIOR TO ASSESSMENT AND WERE QUITE SOUR. WHILE TAKING PHOTOS OF THE HEIFERS AT FIRST WERE FLIGHTY AND WOULD TRAVEL FROM SIDE TO SIDE OF THE YARD BUT AFTER 10 MINUTES OF BEING IN THE YARD WITH THEM THEY SETTLED RIGHT DOWN AND HANDLED MUCH BETTER.

GOOD QUALITY HEIFERS PTIC TO LBW ANGUS BULLS, THESE CATTLE SHOW ALL THE SIGNS OF GROWING INTO GOOD FUNCTIONAL BREEDER CATTLE. THESE HEIFERS HAD A PARTICULARLY TOUGH & DRY START TO LIFE IN THE CHARTERS TOWERS AREA BEFORE BEING PURCHASED AND GIVEN SOME TLC. THEY HAVE SINCE BEEN ON GOOD QUALITY FORAGE FEED, RUNNING WITH ANGUS BULLS AND THEY APPEAR TO BE GROWING OUT NICELY. THESE CATTLE WOULD MAKE GOOD HARDY BREEDERS WITH THE ANGUS X CALVES AT FOOT, THEY WOULD BE AN IDEAL OPTION TO CALVE DOW AND SPLIT OR RETAIN AS REPLACEMENTS.
