Majority of the mob was very well behaved, drafting off their calves fine, and settling in the paddock for photos. Just 1 cow was quite emotional, having been through the yards 4 times in the last few weeks (Calf marking, drenching, mothering & then assessing) She has been getting progressively more anxious each visit according to agent, and finished up jumping a gate in the yards before joining back up with her sisters.

The Oates family offer their complete herd of Autumn calving Cows & calves. Marcus & Ruth have built a reputation in the North East for producing quality Angus calves with very good early growth; Selling annually, in the front lane at the January Premier Weaner sales, and regularly presenting the calves with the heaviest weight for age. Replacement females are purchased with no expense being spared, targeting maternal bodied females with true to type Angus traits and a good soft fleshing style. These easy breeders have been low maintenance, consistent performers that drive everything in to their calves. Bulls have always been put in on the 1st of June, with cows cycling now and in perfect order to continue on with an early March calving. This is an excellent line of commercial breeders that present a proven, ready laid out operation to continue on with. Buyers please Note - Vendor has another 3 lots in same sale.
