Cows were all very easy to handle in the yards, drafted off their calves without any hassles, brought from the back yards by a single handler and pushed up the race. There was just a few cows that were quite anxious in the crush. Some weaving, some rocking, some pushing back on the back slide, listed above as slightly stirry.

The Oates family offer their complete herd of Autumn calving Cows & calves. Marcus & Ruth have built a reputation in the North East for producing quality Angus calves with very good early growth, selling annually, in the front lane at the January Premier Weaner sales, and regularly presenting the calves with the heaviest weight for age. Majority of females are brought in as replacements to secure an even line of breeders of the highest quality. With only a tiny hatful of the very best heifers retained each year. These easy vendor bred breeders have been low maintenance, consistent performers that drive everything in to their calves. Bulls have always been put in on the 1st of June, with cows cycling now and in perfect order to continue on with an early March calving. This is a very good line of commercial breeders that present a proven, ready laid out operation to continue on with. Buyers please Note - Vendor has another 3 lots in same sale.
