Heifers are yard weaned and well educated and flowed through the yards easily. A couple of heifers were slightly agitated on the weigh platform but settled quickly once back with their mob. Considering the heifers were preg tested half an hour prior to assessment, I considered the heifers very good to get along with.

These heifers were originally to be retained at Bongongo and calved down, but after conducting a stocktake, it was decided to on sell these girls to someone with a few less numbers. Bred on Bongongo from purchased in PTIC breeders cows principally from the New England region, these heifers were safely Preg Tested In Calf on day of assessment to Hazeldean Q1067 (Joined 22/10 - 24/12/21 to commence calving late July/early August) who was an $18000 purchase and used in the Hazeldean breeding program. His numbers are BW +2.2, CE DIR +11.5, 200D +41, 400D +78, 600D +109 and EMA +11.1 and an excellent sire for phenotype to boot. All heifers bred from Angus cows but noted 6 heifers with a very light splash of white in the brush of their tail, also noted 4 heifers with small old pinkeye scarring that was not deemed detrimental. Heifers are 20-22 months at assessment and present in store to fresh store for potential ease of calving. 11 Black Baldy heifers also offered in this sale off Bongongo
