Excellent line of 2021 drop PTIC Hicks Beef Composite X Angus Heifers Account Takajo Pastoral Co. PTIC for a tight 4 week calving to commence early August 2023. Joined to low birthweight & high calving ease Hicks Beef Black Composite sires, EBV’s attached. These heifers show excellent weight for age and are in perfect condition for this stage of their pregnancy. They will mature into highly productive breeders which will offer great genetic gain for the purchaser running a self-replacing herd. The vendor has been selecting leading high indexing Angus & Hicks Beef Composite sires for their herd, with a focus on Growth, Milk, Temperament & Fertility. The Takajo cattle have a history of performing exceptionally well on feed and are highly sort after by repeat feedlot buyers. These females are classed in retained breeders with the original plan to be used within the Takajo herd. Due to later calving, heifers are not suited to vendor’s program and are being offered to the market.
