Heifers handled well throughout the assessment process. Heifers flowed easily through backyards, force & weigh station. 5 Heifers became agitated in weigh station exiting with haste. 1 heifer continued to be alert/ unsettled. Balance of Heifers settled post assessment & were accommodating when being maneuvered around on foot in back yards for videos & photos.

10 x 10 Vendor bred 1st calf Angus Sired Heifers with10 Angus sired calves at foot. Heifers have been re-joined to Stud Ben Nevis Angus bulls. Hfrs present in store to forward store to condition. Hfrs have been exposed to Horses, Dogs and Motorbikes/ Buggies. Heifers have been managed within a rotational grazing program being moved and handled on a regular basis. 2 heifers were noted to have vaccination lumps on neck from prior vaccinations. Majority of calves are fresh, a portion of calves are dry in coats. Calves were marked 1 week prior to assessment. 2 calves were treated for fresh pink eye using Orbenin Cream & eye patches. Eyes to be re-assessed prior to delivery - healing eyes will be included at delivery. Sale of heifers presents an opportunity to purchase a line of young Heifers with calves at foot to retain as future breeders or rejoin & pursue possible trade options. Purchasers please note Vendor has another lot of Angus heifers with Angus calves at foot in same sale.
