These heifers were a pleasure to handle right throughout the drafting and weighing process. Using a low stress stock handling approach by the vendor he found that the less pressure put on them, the better they flowed through the yards. Some heifers became agitated when drafting and weighing but is as expected when they are getting their calves drafted off them aswell as put up a cattle race in a foreign environment. All drafted in portable yards & hot wire used in holding yard with no stress.

Assessor Comments
A small but tidy line of British bred Heifers doing an amazing job on their 1st & 2nd calf @ foot. These heifers present in a store to forward/store condition which have been station mated back to 'Pharo' Angus bulls for 1 month. All calves were marked & tagged @ assessment which are in fresh condition exhibiting great squareness/softness with all calves being declared strong. The Heifers present with full and firm udders which are displaying great maternal attributes. These heifers and calves creates a great opportunity in purchasing youth that will do a job in any intended meat breeding program for many years to come. With the exceptional cattle market prices that keeps going from strength to strength & spring upon us, this article provides a safe bet as the young breeding females are the future of the industry. Note the Angus cow & grey calf were added to group after assessment so not in group video but weighed. Vendor has a main lot of 45x45 Angus heifers & calves in same sale.
