Assessor Comments
Offering a very good line of 115 Santa X Young Cows, Vet PTIC to Te Mania Angus bulls. These cows were pregnancy tested by a vet on 4th June and to be 4–6 months in calf, with calving expected from September through to December. Vendor bred out of Santa, Droughtmaster, Angus and Charolais cross cows, and sired by quality Eidsvold, GreenUp and Gyranda Santa bulls. These second calf young cows are branded 80% #3s and 20% #4s. Weighed after an overnight curfew, they ranged from 400kg to 670kg, averaging 520kg, with 280kg weaners at foot. At preg testing visually approx 75% of the heifers had already weaned their calves, however all calves were drafted off and weaned on 17th June. Please note there is one smaller fly bitten heifer shown in the photos and videos that is not included in the sale. A great line of young breeders PTIC with their second calf, presenting an excellent opportunity to secure proven Santa cross females joined to quality Te Mania Angus Bulls.
