A fair few heifers were unsettled in race and crush but settled down well in yard. They tended to be a bit fast in the yards and needed steading through gateways. I saw them walked away and they were good to handle in the paddock.

A good line of vendor bred heifers that are only getting sold due to the light season. They were all pregnacy tested and 38 were detectable in calf, but as bulls have been with them continuously and they have been on a rising plane of nutrition since early January, I would expect a fair few more heifers to be in calf. At assessment they range from 279 - 450 kg so if already not in calf they could be joined to a bull of your choice. We mouthed the first 23 # 0 heifers and there was 13 x milk teeth and 10 x 2 teeth. After that we only mouthed the heifers over 400 kg and had 7 x milk and 3 x 2 teeth. Approximately 30 heifers have only small to no humps, 61 have medium hump and 25 have full hump. They are mostly very well dehorned with only 3 with short weaner horns. I heifer was noted with a dog bite on the inside of her off leg but I couldn't find again to get a photo of leg. There is 19 head with 2 other family brands. Note vendors have 6 decks of smaller heifers in yearling sale.
