At assessment the cows & calves were considered to have a reasonable sound/quiet temperament as 1 lot in the yard - The cows were naturally protective of the calves but none were considered to be stirry or aggressive - It was noted that when the cows were taken off the calves to weigh through the crush the majority did become agitated/nervous/slightly stirry - Not considered detrimental as they all settled down when back together as a mob in the yard and let back out into the paddock

A well presented pen of 12 x 12 Cows & Calves (11 Angus/Friesian X F1 & 1 Angus X Murray Grey/Friesian X F2) The cows presenting in strong working store condition with good frame, 2nd calvers, NSM - Very good sappy CAF, all sired by an Angus bull with sex composition consisting of 8 steers (all ringed prior to assessment) & 4 heifers, calves rising 8-12 weeks - The cows are currently doing an excellent job rearing these calves & have plenty of milk, suitable to re-join to a bull of choice moving forward to suit a select calving program - These cows will continue to fill out & put further condition on as they continue to mature given good feed & favourable seasonal conditions - This current batch of calves have had a very good start & are on track to top off into very good solid milk vealers - Purchase with confidence, sound age C&C units - Ideal for vealer production
