Assessor Comments
127 Charbray cows with ‘Temana Charolais’ sired calves at foot. These cows are branded ‘0’ being genuine 5 year old cows weighing 441kg at assessment in store condition. They were purchased from Nymagee in 2022 as PTIC heifers and have all raised calves each year with their 3rd calf currently at foot. These cows are predominantly Charbray Brahman cross with a few Drought Master and Charolais Types in them also. They were good to draft with most cows free flowing throughout the yards with the ability to block majority. There is a small percentage that are hard to block but none were aggressive. They are doing an excellent job on their calves that are fresh and sappy and range from 6 weeks to 5 months. They weighed from 78kg - 260kg to average 154kg from a sample of 35 calves weighed. These cows are in their prime doing a great job on their calves, with a bit of feed will power ahead. But with confidence.
