Traits
1 Head 1 steer calf with early pink-eye infection in both eyes, treated at assessment with Orbenin cream
Assessor Comments
An even line of quiet Angus heifer & calf units, on their 1st calf. They are Pathfinder & Sterita blood, with young, sappy calves sired by Blackstone & Maryvale Angus bulls. They present in fresh store condition & are of good frame for age, with enough stretch & depth of body to develop further as they mature. The quality of breeding is evident throughout the heifers, despite the lack of condition affecting overall live weight & carcass shape, which will be easily rectified on better quality feed. These heifers are milking up well for a very even line of calves at foot, consisting of 7 steers & 9 heifers. The calves were marked & vaccinated at assessment with 1 calf being treated with Orbenin cream, for pinkeye, which will be re-treated at delivery. A great opportunity to secure quality young breeders in their breeding prime, which have calved unassisted, with top quality Angus calves at foot & a lifetime of production ahead of them. A great addition to inject some youth into the herd.
