Cows were very easy to work and handle in the yards, just a little bit quick on their feet going through gateways and when pressure was applied. None showing any aggressive behaviour throughout assessment. Very good to handle in the paddock, having an excellent block, and working well with pressure from the motorbike or car. They have been run under station conditions as part of a much larger mob and will benefit from some further handling now in a smaller number.

Good run of young ‘prime of their life’ 2nd calvers, all bred in the North East Victoria and Southern Riverina districts, purchased Ex Wangaratta out of the Gordon Sinclair Memorial Sale as weaners to join. All reared a good calf in their first year, and again this year, doing an excellent job with their young poddies, which are by Pure Te Mania Angus blood sires, bred from a commercial herd with an average marble score of 4.3. These young mothers have been on excellent feed, are in forward condition and carrying big bags of milk, making them the ideal article to take in any direction, be it re-join, or focus on a split job, with the bonus of 75% Bull calves!
