Generally good to handle in and through the crush and settled well in the yard for photos. Calves were handled through the crush and scales and were generally uneducated rather then stirry. The calves were nice and settled in the yards. All stock are worked using Low Stress Stock Handling techniques and are used to being grazed in single wire grazing cells.

Assessor Comments
A small line of Angus and Angus cross cows with calves at foot. The cows range from 12% fair, 68% good and 20% very good quality and they have good to very good quality Angus sired calves on them. The cows were all purchased as different mobs to restock and are now being culled to tidy up mobs. All cows were mouthed at assessment and were all sound mouth ranging from 1 x 4 T through to 11 sound 8T cows and 4 cows with 8T but showing wear (see two photos for the range in 8T cows). They have 7 Hfr, 7 Str and 2 unmarked male calves at foot which are well and truly weanable apart from the smallest calf. The calves range from 85 to 250 kg. The cows have been running with Angus bulls continuously and were vet preg tested in Dec 2022 with 8 of the cows 2 - 4 months in calf and the balance recorded as NDP but wet. Active buffalo fly was noted on the cows, resulting in some rub/bite marks on necks and eyes. They all have been run in a cell grazing operation and are familiar with electric fences.
