Temperament not assessed in Paddock
These cows had been in the yard 18 hours, while having their calves off them, mothered up, then their calves off them again and then were assessed, weighed, mouthed and pregnancy tested. Half of them were assessed as stirry or slightly stirry in the crush only, they settled down quickly on their release and were fine in the race and yards. Temperament is not thought to be an issue with these cows and the calves were exceptionally quiet, sensible and good to handle.

Assessor Comments
A rare opportunity to purchase very good quality, genuine breeder, mostly Angus cows and calves out of a fertile, well managed, renowned herd. Mostly 3 in 1 units as 15 cows are Pregnancy tested back in calf to very good quality stud Angus sires, and 17 young weaners at foot already averaging 208kg. The 2 non detectable cows had access to the bull until assessment and is every chance are in the early stages of pregnancy as well. Vendor has just changed from a commercial herd to being a registered stud and is looking to keep more replacement heifers so these commercial breeders are on the market to make room. Please note, 1 cow has slight cloudy eye, and 3 cows have rub marks around eyes from flies, neither of which is deemed detrimental. 1 steer calf is missing the brush off his tail.
