Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
Cows range from store to backward store condition and the calves are 3 weeks to 3 months. Would advise short to medium distance travel only (up to 500km). A spell and feed required if they go further. All fit to load protocols will need to be observed at delivery with the truck driver to have input. Buyer to advise if they are to be loaded together or separately on the truck.

Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Cows were very good to handle in the bigger yards, force and round yard. In the crush they behaved well whilst being assessed except for a few that were slightly stirry. These cows did act up in the yard whilst the calves were being drafted off but this isn't unusual. Care should be taken on arrival to allow cows to settle down and mother up before too much handling.

Assessor Comments
Buyers a draft of 18x18 young cows on their first calves that have their whole breeding life ahead of them. These cows are struggling a bit with their first calf but i would expect on good nutrition these cows will go ahead. They have a good milk supply and the calves at foot look healthy and are ready to bound ahead. Buyers please note some calves have weepy eyes at time off assessment 1 calf had a white underline and tip of tail and some of the cows have white udders and underline. The vendor has 72 cows and calves drafted into 4 mobs of 18x18 in this sale.
