Temperament not assessed in Paddock
I must admit the cattle scales that were provided were the high sided Gallagher platforms which in my opinion are terrible for assessing behaviour on as the animal constantly tries to settle on such a narrow platform. Time & time again their feet were slipping off the platform causing them to become slightly unrest which is not a fair description of their temperament in my opinion. When head baled for pregnancy testing I believed they all behaved well with only a small % eager to leave.

Assessor Comments
John Burgess of Balham Hill Run P/L is offering a consignment of Murray Grey cows that are PTIC to a registered Speckle Park Bull on a reduction sale basis. They have being joined to a thick set, heavy muscled Wattle Grove SP Bull and were pregnancy tested on the day of my assessment indicating a 100% in calf rate for whole consignment with nothing removed prior to assessment. This speaks volumes to me as it shows the high fertility of these females even at a top age of nine years, it is also to be noted they have recently weaned off their offspring and therefore present in a wintered Sunday clothing appearance. I have full confidence leading into a thriving Spring season you will see these cows freshen up in condition and become a well desired trading option or an animal that can slot into an already existing herd. Like most cattle in the current climate, there are a large % of these Cows showing the affect of winter lice, rest assured they will be drenched prior to delivery.
