These heifers were a pleasure to handle right throughout the mothering, drafting and weighing process. Using a low stress stock handling approach by the vendor he found that the less pressure put on them the better they flowed through the yards. A couple heifers became very agitated when handled which created more friction within the settled mob. Take into consideration these cattle were in the yards in new and foreign environment. These heifers will need to be handled carefully.

A Tidy line of Queensland bred Brahman & Brahman cross Heifers doing a good job on their 1st calf @ foot. These heifers present in predominantly store to forward/store condition which have been station mated back to the Angus bull. The Calves breed content consists of Angus/Charolais & Marellan Shorthorn which were yard mothered. Calves are from 1-12 weeks of age and the older calves present in fresh condition exhibiting great squareness/softness. The Heifers present with full and firm udders which are displaying great maternal attributes. Note: 1x Shorthorn Cross calf had active pinkeye but was treated @ assessment. 1x Brindle heifer has a small twisted jaw see photos for better description, both deemed non detrimental. With the exceptional cattle market prices that keeps going from strength to strength, this article provides a safe bet as the young breeding females are the future of the industry.
