Temperament not assessed in Paddock
A generally easy to handle mob of cattle to handle in the paddock and yards. Some heifers did move quickly under pressure in turn heating up some of the other cattle. These heifers are used to their normal routine in their set of yards and with a change in handler and routine became a bit more nervous. Once heifers walked up race all settled in to crush they walked out again with no fuss then settled well back in to mob. After this cows calmly stood in yard whilst being photographed.

Assessor Comments
A genuine dispersal of an excellent quality Shorthorn/Santa composite female breeding herd. These heifers have been meticulously looked after throughout their lifetime by the Braid family. The genetics in these heifers have been carefully picked to ensure eye appealing, easy fleshing types with high weight gain performance. The Braid family herd originated from a strong line of Santa Gertrudis females which was then crossed with AI sires such as Spry's True Blue and Futurity Honeybadger. That as a cow base and sired by Futurity "Noodle" this cross of Shorthorn back over these females has resulted in this herd being an almost pure Shorthorn type with softness, eye appeal, bone and do-ability. These heifers have been preg tested in calf to commence in June for 6 weeks to Gilmandyke Compliment Angus bull.
